Bane NOR, developer and operator of the Norwegian railway infrastructure, has commissioned R+R as project manager cost estimation. R+R will help Bane NOR to improve cost estimation processes and develop cost estimation metrics and models based on Norwegian and international best practice.
At the beginning of April 2022, construction work will start on the N14 motorway section between the Gisikon and Rütihof junctions. The task includes maintenance of the drainage system as well as pavement replacement and renewal of the guard rails and animal fences over the entire section.

After two tendering rounds with, at first, four tenderers, Sporveien, the operator of Oslo City’s public transport system, awarded the contract for equipping the metro with a CBTC system to Siemens. R+R has edited the price formats, evaluated the commercial tenders, and supported the negotiations. At the same time, in the Datalink sub-project, Sporveien procures the communication services and the necessary upgrading of the communication infrastructure.
Twenty years ago, a serious fire disaster occurred in the Gotthard motorway tunnel. To commemorate this event, the «SRF Aktuell» TV program has produced a report on road tunnel safety in Switzerland, which was broadcast on October 21, 2021. Many lessons have been learned from this disaster. By using the third tube of the Gubrist tunnel, now under construction, as an example, the FEDRO project managers explain recent developments concerning the safety of road tunnels.
